1. How many color options do Grand Manor asphalt shingles have?
Like most asphalt shingles, Grand Manor shingles have a range of colors to choose from. However, they don’t come with a huge selection because they’re made to look like slate.

Obviously, most of the colors will be gray or black because Grand Manor shingles are designed to look like a slate roof. Just know the immediate availability of the colors depends on the region and what suppliers in your area have in stock.
2. How long will Grand Manor asphalt shingles last?
Grand Manor asphalt shingles (and all luxury shingles) are larger and thicker than 3-tab and architectural shingles. Because of the 5-layer coverage (with underlayment), a Grand Manor roof should last 30 years.
In perfect conditions, you can push that number even further to close to 40 or 50 years. Just know there are too many factors that impact the life of a roof to determine an exact number.
But as long as Grand Manor asphalt shingles are properly installed and your attic has adequate ventilation, you should have no problem getting to the 30-year mark.
3. Can you get an enhanced material warranty on Grand Manor asphalt shingles?
CertainTeed provides material warranties on all products to protect against any problems or defects with the shingles themselves. You already know Grand Manor asphalt shingles come with CertainTeed’s lifetime-limited warranty and the 10-year SureStart™ warranty.

Just know improper roof installation and inadequate attic ventilation void any material warranty.
4. How much does a Grand Manor asphalt shingle roof cost?
If you’re like most homeowners, the biggest factor in determining if Grand Manor asphalt shingles are worth it is cost. Unfortunately, I can’t give you an exact price for a Grand Manor shingle roof due to all the factors that go into a new roof’s cost.
However, I can give you a general idea of the budget you’ll need if you choose Grand Manor asphalt shingles for your roof replacement. You can expect a Grand Manor asphalt shingle roof to cost around $8.00-$10.00 per square foot.
If you invest in copper flashing, need to replace a lot of decking, or add upgrades, you’ll be on the higher end of the price range. While the cost numbers aren’t exact, it does give you an idea of the budget you’ll need.
To put it into perspective, you can expect a Grand Manor asphalt shingle roof to be around double the cost of an architectural shingle roof. Because of this, most homeowners can’t afford a Grand Manor roof.
So, are CertainTeed’s Grand Manor asphalt shingles worth it?
CertainTeed Grand Manor asphalt shingles are well worth the investment if you have the budget. The high curb appeal, warranties, and lifespan are among the best of any asphalt shingle available.
However, I never recommend going well over budget just to get Grand Manor asphalt shingles. But if Grand Manor shingles don’t fit your budget, there are more affordable options that still give you CertainTeed’s high quality.
