What affects your CertainTeed color options?

The availability of the colors for the shingles listed above all depends on your location. Some colors are only available in certain areas in the United States, whether it’s due to popularity or what the region manufactures.

If a color isn’t available in your area, you can get it shipped. However, you’ll be the one paying for it, and your estimate will definitely reflect that.

While it’s kind of like location, another thing that can affect color options is what’s readily available. Most roofing contractors recommend colors that their suppliers regularly keep stocked or can get quickly.

This ensures there are no hang-ups when getting the shingles, which means your roof replacement can be scheduled without delays. However, it also means there are more shingles available if your roofer is a bundle short, they find a defect, or something else happens.

What are the best CertainTeed shingles?

After reading this article, you know the color options for CertainTeed’s shingles. Just remember, the colors are pulled directly from CertainTeed’s website based on our local zip code.

So, certain colors may only be available based on location. However, the majority of them should be available.

Even so, you need to talk to your roofing contractor and, most importantly, see samples on your roof before making a final decision. But before you even start thinking about colors, you need to pick a shingle.

Unfortunately, you can’t choose based on colors and basic information. That’s why I wrote another article breaking down the best CertainTeed shingles you should consider.
